Update: implemented some JS to copy marginalia to the part they refer, and some CSS to show/hide them inline. Future: * show marginalia in a scrollable side-panel.

Fragmention reply-contexts are a brilliant idea! I don’t have any decent reply-context yet but would love to see this.

awesome! Looking forward to the discussion myself. Also I corrected some of your project links on the RSVP page by guesswork.

I think currentColor is computed from the ‘color’ context of the element on which it has been declared in the CSS. So in this case it would be red from the body element. FF dev-tools confirms this in its “computed styles” but Chrome dev-tools shows computed fill=blue but displays the phone as red!

@stefsull Yup! viewBox only specifies which part of the SVG to display. But the SVG can scale anyway you’d like! Take that raster sprites!

<sigh> just spent half an hour arguing why “hiding URLs is not just about it looking shiny” to no avail!

Update: https://kartikprabhu.com/article/inline-svg-icons Playing with svg icons for the site. demo link: https://kartikprabhu.com/static/demo/inline-svg-icons.html Good: * icon changes colour with the corresponding text. * using SVG sprites, so all icons can be in one file. * looks the same in latest FF, Chrome, Opera (not tested in IE or Safari) Bad: * icon does not seem to align with text as needed. Suggestions and comments are welcome. * icon from www.entypo.com through icomoon.io
